Best Time to Visit

Assam:

October to April is the best time to visit, as the weather is cool and pleasant, perfect for exploring tea estates, wildlife sanctuaries, and cultural sites.

Summer (March to June) can be hot and humid, but it’s a great time for wildlife safaris in places like Kaziranga National Park.

Meghalaya:

The ideal time to visit is from October to March when the weather is cool and comfortable for trekking and sightseeing.

Monsoon (June to September) should be avoided, as heavy rainfall can cause landslides and disrupt travel plans.

Arunachal Pradesh:

March to June and October to March are the best months to visit. Summer offers pleasant weather for sightseeing, while winter provides opportunities for snow and cold-weather activities.

Monsoon brings heavy rainfall, making it challenging to travel in some regions due to landslides.

Weather and Clothing

Assam:

Summer: Light, breathable clothing for the day, and a sweater or jacket for the evenings.

Winter: Light woolens for daytime, and heavier clothing for chilly nights.

Meghalaya:

All year: Bring layered clothing. Even in summer, evenings and high-altitude areas can be chilly.

Monsoon: A raincoat, waterproof shoes, and an umbrella are essential.
